Q & A
Will rush/recruitment still happen virtually?
YES! Delta Lambda Chi will still be rushing through a virtual format! Our events will be hosted through Zoom. Despite the difficult times, we look forward to welcoming new sisters into our organization and build a bond stronger than ever to support one another.
Our organization will be hosting online events for 2 weeks in 2021: in Fall and Spring. These events are NOT mandatory but we encourage your attendance so you can interact with all the sisters before interviews! Everything will be through Zoom due to quarantine, but we have a some great interactive events planned that highlight our 4 pillars; Everlasting Sisterhood, Service, Academics, and Leadership.

What is Rush?
"Rush" is the term used by fraternities and sororities to represent a time period where non-affiliated students can actively learn more about the organization of choice. It consists of a series of fun events that allows you to get a glimpse of what their organization is all about. This is the time for you, the rushee, to get to know us, and for us to get to know you. It is also a good opportunity for you to come out and meet new people.
Rush gives you the chance to interact with the organization to see if it is right for you, no strings attached. Every organization has something special to offer, and it is up to you to find out what is most suited to your desires. So, rush! There are no obligations.
How do I rush?
Simple! Just attend any of the events listed on our website and flyers.
If I rush, does that mean I have to pledge?
Not at all! There is no obligation to join if you attend a rush event. Events should be treated as any other social and rewarding experience. If you decide that you want to pledge for us, you'll need to sign up for an interview. If you are extended a bid, that is when you will decide whether or not to pledge.
I can't make it to a Rush event but can I still pledge?
Of course! Just contact our President or of our Rush Chairs and we will get back to you as soon as possible with the details.
What is the difference between rushing and pledging?
Rushing involves no obligation or affiliation to the organization. When you decide to become a pledge, that is when you commit yourself to the organization and begin pledgeship. Pledgeship is a rewarding experience that teaches you the true meaning of teamwork and sisterhood, and it gets you and your pledge class to know DLC at a much deeper, personal level.
How much does it cost to attend Rush?
It is completely free!
